Police appeal for witnesses following collision with pedestrian in Vastern Road

At around 5.45pm on Tuesday, July 18, a collision happened on Vastern Road outside TGI Fridays near to the roundabout at the pedestrian crossing, leaving the pedestrian with serious injuries.

THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Reading on Tuesday, July 18.

At around 5.45pm a grey VW Polo and a pedestrian who ran across the pedestrian crossing on vastern Road, near TGI Fridays.

The pedestrian, a man in his twenties, was seriously injured and remains in hospital at this time.

Investigating officer PC Jamie Payne of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are investigating this collision in which a man has been seriously injured.

“We are asking anyone with information or dash-cam footage of the incident to please come forward.

“If you have information we would ask you to contact Thames Valley Police online or via 101 quoting reference 43230319153.”
