POETS’ Cafe is returning to Reading this week for its regular celebration of verse.
The event welcomes local poets as well as guest performers in a monthly open-mic showcase.
December edition will see returning hosts Vic Pickup and Katherine Meehan joined by Robin Houghton.
Houghton, who hails from London, is a writer, podcaster, and Poet, who published her first full collection of poems, The Mayday Diaries, in May.
She co-founded Telltale Press with Peter Kenny in 2014, which has published pamphlets including The Great Vowel Shift, and All the Relevant Gods, which garnered the winning spot in the Cinnamon Press Poetry Pamphlet competition in 2017.
Poets’ Cafe returns to South Street Arts Centre on Friday, December 12, and again on the second Friday of each month.
