You are the light that leads us on through our dark days
You guide us through our despair, delusions, depressions and doubts
You teach us how to ease our pains
Played with us when we were lost.
You helped us find out way again
You stayed with us throughout the years
Navigating us through our childish fears
When we were thrown into life’s stormy oceans
And close to drowning in their motion
You were our lifeline
Steadfast lighthouses
Shining towards the shoreline
You steered us through hostile weather
Held our hands when we climbed mountains together
Now in the splendour of sunlight
Amidst the dewdrops at dawn
In daylight or moonlight
Or when we watch rain or rainbows
We will feel your presence
Even when you wait loving and longingly
To lead us on to where you have already gone.
