These big guys aren’t as appealing,
As that mob at the other pole,
There’s the suggestion of a feeling,
Given the chance, they’d eat us whole.
Plus … although they are fluffy,
They’re not really all that cute,
And as “top-predator humans”,
We’re not very keen on other brutes.
But, like Antarctica’s penguins,
Their survival depends on ice,
It’s how they catch the seals,
Yeah, I know … it’s not very nice.
Enter stage left, “Global Warming”,
The infamous villain of the piece,
His shorter ice-season will cause
Polar bear population to decrease.
And perhaps we’re not bothered,
After all, we’re not that keen
On these enormous white bears,
Who come across … as mean
But .. with these guys stuck on land,
The seal population will increase,
And there won’t be anything left, to
Dip in batter and fry in grease.
