I joined the fun as a pillion rider with a very kind-hearted motorbike rider to spread extra cheer along the route. What a lively ride it was with the brisk air, cool drizzle, joyful waves, and more perky than reindeers prancing.

Beneath a capricious sky, clouds roving high,

High on roads, where dreams take flight and bikers ride.

Ride with purpose, as Santa’s team unites,

Unites and glides, gifts in tow, under the sun’s fleeting light.

Light beams by side, under a transient sun, spreading more than mere cheer,

Cheer tangible as laughter’s echo, in the brisk, rain-kissed air we hear.

Hear the engines loud hum, like reindeers joyful prance,

Prance their wet hooves lively, in this festive dance.

Dance fills hearts with hope, ‘neath a cloudy sky’s watch,

Watch, where sun and rain in moments match.

Match of nature’s whimsy, wheels in spin,

Spin tales of joy, from deep within.

Within, a bear joins, a whimsically furry kin,

Kin of Panda, in a festive Xmas hat, merrily rides,

Rides with hope, by the bikers’ hearty sides,

Sides of streets, where the community assembled to cheer,

Cheer a spell, so vibrant and vastly festive,

Festive in spirit, the mysterious bear wave with grace,

Grace in gifts, a tender, warm embrace,

Embrace the mystery, the paw-some joy panda brings,

Brings to hearts, as the community joyously wave,

Waves of hope, a bond so profoundly deep,

Deep the cheer, endearing memories to keep,

Keep in hearts, this Reading Toy Run’s kind-hearted spirited leap.
