A FUNDRAISING group from Pangbourne has been enriching the lives of young people in Berkshire.
Following its December Santa Tour and January’s Woodcote 10K race, Pangbourne Rotary Club has donated over £6000 to young peoples’ causes.
More than £3000 was donated to the Guide and Scout groups who helped the club by knocking on doors, to collect money on Santa’s route and by providing watering stations on the 10K route.
The money will go to buying equipment and supporting camping trips.
The amount of £2924 was raised for the principle charity of the 10K run, Daisy’s Dream.

The organisation provides support for children and young people who have been affected by bereavement, either supporting them in preparing for a loss or working with them following the death of someone important to them.
And £500 was donated to Berkshire Youth, which has been dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people across Berkshire since 1940.

The group meets every Monday evening, to hear a varied programme of guest speakers, and for social activities and outings.
They are always looking for people of all ages to contribute their energy, talents, and professional skills to make a real difference to the lives of others.
They are grateful for the generosity of the public support and participaton in their events,
The club’s next fundraising activity will be an art exhibition and sale, and children’s school art competition, at Pangbourne Village Hall, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 6 to 8.
