THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and one man has been arrested following a serious injury road traffic collision in Reading.
At just after 12.15pm on Tuesday October 21, there was a collision between a silver Kia Niro and a white motorcycle in Berkeley Avenue at the junction with Temple Place.
The Kia driver did not stop at the scene, and the rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his twenties, sustained a broken ankle, which required hospital treatment.
He has since been discharged.
A 35-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving without a licence, driving while over the specified drug limit, and failing to stop and exchange details after a road traffic collision.
He has been released on bail until January next year.
