CREATING magic this Christmas is a new adapation of Miki, Stephen Mackey’s children’s book.

Miki, Polar Bear and Penguin live in a very faraway place. It’s an icy world where nothing ever grows. One midwinter eve, they make a wish and Miki embarks on a magical adventure in search of a star…

The show, a story of friendship, courage and adventure, is currently being performed in Norden Farm, Maidenhead as a festive treat.

Devised by Slot Machine, the company behind adaptations of One Snowy Night and Kipper’s Snowy Day, it features underwater creatures, and puppetry to create a show suitable for ages three upwards.

The cast for Miki includes Shakara Rose Carter (Miki), Rob Astillo (Bear/Tingly Tangly Jellyfish), Sophie Wilkinson (Penguin) and Georgie Murphy (cover).

The show is enchanting and grabs the attention of even the smallest children throughout its 50 minutes. It is a magical production.

The mystical journey of Miki, travelling from land to sea, followed by his best friends Polar Bear and Penguin is a pure delight. There is plenty of music, laughter and lots of amazing creatures all brought to life by the wonderful cast.

It is a must-see for anyone with young kids or grandchildren.

The show runs until Saturday, December 30, with a relaxed performance at 11am on Wednesday, December 27, aimed at families with additional needs and disabilities. A signed performance will be held on Wednesday, December 20, at 2pm.

Tickets cost £13.50 to £15.50, with a family ticket for up to four people, costing £54. Babies under 18 months can get in for free.
