VISITORS to a Hare Hatch studio can enjoy a unique opportunity to meet 15 artists and makers, explore their workspaces, and buy one-of-a-kind pieces.

Organisers say the event at Coach House Studios this week will be a great place to pick up some really unique Christmas presents.

And there will also be live music, and cake.

Steve Hedger founded the Coach House Studio, which is home to a creative hub of artists, potters, embroiderers, a perfumier and a woodworker (Steve).

He said: “After a cardiac arrest in 2018, I had no idea that I would be entering one of the most fulfilling periods in my life.

“Having to slow down, yet desperate to re-find my creative side, I continued my part-time job running the Coach House site at Yeldall Manor (a Christian drug and alcohol residential centre), which provides rental space for businesses and individuals.

“I dreamed of forming a creative hub with other artists and makers, knowing that this would also provide amazing opportunities for those in recovery from addiction to connect with their creative side.

“Potter Vallari Harshwal joined me in 2022, and we haven’t looked back.

“Our community is growing, and this week we present the work of our 10 resident artists and five further guest artists and makers at our Open Studio event.”

The free exhibition can be seen at The Coach House Studios, Bear Lane, Hare Hatch on Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16.

Doors are open on both days from 10am until 5pm.

Parking is free, and proceeds from refreshment sales will go to Yeldall Manor drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation centre.
