AN EASTER menu has been launched at McDonald’s today, offering seasonal snacks as well as some special meals, appearing for a limited time only.

And there is also the return of its winning sips contest, offering the potential to win prizes when people order soft drinks.

Centrepiece for the menu is the Hot Cross Bun Pie, at £1.99. It has a crispy cinnamon pastry, filled with a spiced fruit mix and butter-flavour cream filling.

For those who enjoy a seasonal beverage, there is a Hot Cross Bun Latte (£2.69), which sees a  sweet and spiced Hot Cross Bun flavour syrup added to the milky coffee drink, topped with cinnamon cream and a Hot Cross Bun flavour dusting.

An Easter-inspired McFlurry is also arriving:a Galaxy Truffle Bunny McFlurry (£2.19). This sees the soft dairy ice cream swirled with pieces of Galaxy Truffle, Galaxy bunny ears and white and dark chocolate drops, topped with a Galaxy Chocolate sauce.

There is also a return for the Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry £2.19.

It’s not all about the sweet. There are some savoury treats too.

The McCrispy Deluxe burger (£5.89) is back for a limited time after a successful debut last summer.

It comprises a 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy, crunchy coating topped with a hot and spicy mayo, caramelised onion compote, seasonal lettuce, bacon, red onions, a slice of cheddar cheese and a sourdough style bun.

Halloumi Fries (£2.79) are also returning: four halloumi cheese sticks coated in a light batter, served with a rich tomato dip.
