A MAN has been charged with multiple offences, including robbery, in Reading.
Richard McGuinness, aged 50 and of no fixed abode, was charged a count each of with robbery, aggravated burglary (other than dwelling), burglary (other than dwelling), as well as three counts of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, affray, theft and attempted theft.
The charges, given at a hearing on Tuesday, May 14, follow a series of incidents in Reading between May 2-5, when several retail premises were targeted.
McGuinness was arrested on Monday, May 13, and appeared at Slough Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
He was remanded in custody, and is now set to appear at Reading Crown Court on an as-yet-undecided date.
