A MAN has been jailed for over six years for grievous bodily harm and drugs offences in Reading.
Nathan Cisse, aged 18, of Glebe Road, Hayes, Hillingdon, was charged with two counts of possession of a bladed article, two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, namely heroin and crack cocaine, and one count of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
Cisse pleaded guilty at a hearing at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, September 1, and was sentenced to six years and two months’ imprisonment at the same court on Tuesday, October 28.
It comes after, at around 1.50pm on July 27, Cisse stabbed the victim, a teenage boy, twice in the leg on Bridge Street, Reading.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, however.
The day after the incident, officers from the Neighbourhood Police Team conducted a stop and search on Cisse due to suspicious behaviour.
Cisse was found to have a large quantity of heroin, crack cocaine, and a knife in his waistband, and was subsequently arrested and charged.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Michael Hanson said: “This investigation and conviction demonstrate the proactive partnership between the Town Centre Neighbourhood Team and the Priority Crime Team in tackling drug dealing and violence in our community.
“We will not tolerate the actions of those who think they can threaten lives with knives and deal drugs in our neighbourhoods.
“We will continue to pursue, arrest, and convict offenders, to ensure they face the full force of the law–I hope that this sentencing acts as a deterrent to others involved in drug dealing.”
