Man charged in connection with Tilehurst stabbing

A MAN has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Tilehurst.

Andrew Parker, 37, of The Broadway, Thatcham, was charged on Monday, February 14, with a single count of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent.

The charge relates to an incident that took place around 4.55pm on Saturday, February 12, outside The Victoria pub on Norcot Road where a man in his 30s was stabbed.

The victim was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he remains with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Parker has been bailed with conditions to appear at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, March 15.
