A popular cafe on Kennet Island has been put forward for a Pride of Reading award.
Their nominator for the Hospitality Award said: “The team and Fidget&Bob are fantastic, and support Reading community.
“They have a community support initiative. They have shown resilience by coming through Covid.”
They said most recently staff rallied round when one was having an operation and was off work for a number of weeks.
“They always communicate with customers, and I know have dedicated customer base who continue to support them.”
The Hospitality Award is sponsored by REDA, Reading’s Economic & Destination Agency, and was inspired and is in memory of Hilary Scott, food writer, journalist and Pride of Reading organiser.
