COMEDIAN Jessica Fostekew has announced a new headline stand-up tour, including a date here in Reading.
Next year will see Fostekew set out with her latest live show, Iconic Breath, which will see her coming to South Street Arts Centre in February.
She has garnered acclaim for her work as a comedian, writer, and podcaster, including as creator and co-host of Contender Ready, the Gladiators fan podcast, alongside Olympic weightlifter Emily Campbell.
She has also appeared on the likes of comedy institution Live at the Apollo, as well as QI, Richard Osman’s House of Games, and BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, the feature-length Scrapper, and BBC’s Motherland and Cuckoo.
Her 2019 stand-up show Hench was nominated for the main award at that year’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
In her new show, Fostekew explores tolerance and temperance as she delves into her DNA for answers to the “beautiful horror” of life.
Of the show, she said: “All my forces have gone into building this new show.
“It’s the funniest show I’ve ever written and I honestly cannot wait to take it out and show it off.”
Iconic Breath comes to Reading’s South Street Arts Centre on February 28.
