Home Counties Women’s Premier

BINFIELD made it two wins from two with a 64-run success against Thame Town.

Binfield batted first and put 256 on the board as opening better Poppy Tulloch totalled an astounding score of 167 from 123 balls, hitting 22 fours and two sixes.

Tulloch’s opening partner, Kali-Ann Docherty, helped to add to the scoreboard with 62 to give Binfield a healthy total.

Tulloch then continued her superb display by picking up five wickets as Thame ended on 192, 64 runs short of the required target.

Binfield are in third position and face an away trip to Knebworth Park in their next outing on Sunday, July 16.

FINCHAMPSTEAD lost out by 119 runs in an away loss at Stony Stratford.

The hosts put an astonishing total of 271-3 on the board from 40 overs to set Finch a tricky task.

Finch battled hard and a score of 57 from O Gain and 64 from A Muttitt ensured they made a strong fight.

However, the wickets tumbled quickly in the middle and tail end as Finch finished with 152 from 26.5 overs.

Finch are still waiting for their first win of the season and will host Henley in their third league match of the campaign on Sunday, July 16.
