Reading FC defender Tyler Bindon praised his central defensive partner Amadou Mbengue after the Royals earned a point against in-form Lincoln City.
Bindon netted an 83rd minute equaliser, his first goal at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, which helped the team take a point.
“The boys played really well,” said Bindon. “Its nice to walk away with a point, but three would have been much better.
“I thought we dominated the game and created chances, it’s just working on the finishing touches in the final third.
“It was amazing (to score). It’s a special moment, I always enjoy scoring goals and to get the team back into the game made it even better.”
Speaking on his partnership with Mbengue, Bindon continued: “I really enjoy working with him. He’s like an older brother to me. We have eachothers back.
“I know if I make a mistake he is there to cover me and if he makes a mistake I can cover him. We have a good relationship with each other.
“I’m loving it so far. All the people are amazing and the staff have been so supportive of me and my teammates as well.
“I’m feeling really good at the moment and hopefully we can go there and get three points because that’s our goal to try and stay in this league.”
Bindon also thanked the fans for their support. He added: “It’s a privilege for all of us. It’s not every day you get fans this dedicated, coming out to all the games and showing us support. Even when we went 1-0 down they were still there supporting us.”
