The Bracknell Sunday League ended its season last weekend with the Junior and Senior cup finals, played at Binfield.

In the Junior cup final, Harts of Bracknell Stags, who finished second in the league, gained a deserved 2-0 victory over Finchampstead OYF, who had pipped them to the league title.

The Senior cup final saw a victory on penalties for Bracknell Royals, who in doing so completed the league and cup double. Their match against Bracknell Rangers ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, with Royals winning 4-1 on penalties.

All eyes in the Reading Sunday League are on this weekend’s ‘winner takes all’ match in the Premier Division, where BAPCO take on Burghfield at The Atrium, Scours Lane. A win for either side will secure the title, while a draw will be enough for the Fielders to take the title.

In the Thames Valley Premier League, Westwood Wanderers take on Wargrave in the Berkshire Trophy Centre League Cup final at the SCL Stadium (Friday, 7pm).

In the East Berks League Division One, an injury time strike from Ben Poynter earned FC Bracknell a 2-2 draw against Old Windsor Reserves at the ‘dustbowl’ of the Crematorium in Bracknell.
