GUIDE Dogs’ Reading Hub Family Fun Day is back for 2025 next month.

The event gives the community the chance to find what goes on at Hillfields, Burghfield Common–the home of the national charity since 1992.

The event will include guide dog training demonstrations; the Sensory Tunnel, giving a glimpse of life without sight; and opportunities to learn more about all the ways that Guide Dogs helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose.

A variety of fairground games will be available, plus face painting, a tombola and a lucky dip, while grown-ups can browse the stalls selling local crafts and more.

There is also a chance to learn more about the volunteering opportunities available.

Parents can bring spare change so their children can enjoy the fun on offer, for a second year there is a token system with contactless payments in place.
