Broad Street Beats is just around the corner, and Broad Street Mall is getting ready to come alive with colour, music, and community spirit. Taking place on Saturday 16th August, this free event promises a vibrant celebration of Pride and local talent – and everyone is invited!

In collaboration with The Rhoom Studios, the event runs from 11am to 3pm, featuring a fantastic lineup of live music and performances from talented local artists. With diversity, positivity, and entertainment at its core, Broad Street Beats is a proud part of the countdown to Reading Pride.

Event highlights include:

  • FREE glitter art for all ages – get your sparkle on and join the fun
  • Topsy the mascot spreading cheer and handing out FREE sweets
  • Lorna from The Green Carnation, offering LGBT+ support resources and her bold, Pride-themed T-shirt collection
  • FREE Subway samples – don’t miss your chance to try tasty new flavours
  • The Jessica Project, raising awareness for survivors of domestic abuse through merchandise and face gem sales

Broad Street Mall is proud to continue its support for the Every Little Thing Festival, founded by Sinead Gibson in memory of her daughter Diva. Sinead will be present to share her story and raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.
