A PETROL station in Caversham want to chop 18 trees down to create space for eight electric vehicle charging points.
The Shell garage on George Street, near Christchurch Meadows, is owned by The Motor Fuel Group, and it is this firm that has applied to Reading Borough Council for permission to fell the trees.
A wall would also be demolished if permission is granted.
Also in the plans, there would be five additional parking bays for Londis customers, a new vacuum unit and three jet washes on the site.
