From Monday, March 7, to Sunday, March 27, pubs across Reading are offering customers a two for one deal on selected drinks as part of the Here’s to the Pub campaign.
Some of the profits from the campaign will also go towards supporting the Marmalade Trust, a charity which is combating loneliness.
Pubs taking part in the scheme include the Pond House, Oxford Road; the Prince, School Road; the Queen’s Head, Christchurch Road; and the Butcher’s Arms, Lower Armour Road.
Customers are eligible for a Buy One Get One Free voucher which can be downloaded from the Great British Pubs website.
The site also allows customers to search for which pubs are taking part in the campaign.
Nick Light, managing director of Stonegate Pub Partners, said: “We are delighted to be running our free drinks campaign again throughout March on an exciting and wide range of products, including from the low and no category.
He said that Stonegate was also pleased to be working with the Marmalade Trust.
“Over the past couple of years, loneliness has become more prevalent than ever.
“The turmoil of the past couple of years has shown the importance of community spirit and the central role that pubs play in their local area.
“Our pubs are not only social hubs for people to come together but they are often lifelines for those who live alone or in need of company.”
The promotion runs until Sunday, March 27.
