FOUR people have been sentenced, including three from Reading, following a series of thefts.

Frenny Green, aged 53, Jady Green aged 49, and Simon Lopez, aged 40, all of Royal Avenue, Calcot, were among four jailed following a sentencing hearing at Reading Crown Court on Friday, January 27.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Alice Broad, said: “This was a long-running investigation which was run over a year.

“The offenders carried out targeted sophisticated attacks involving travel across the South of England, ultimately affecting the lives of more than 40 victims.

“Our investigation has led to three of these men being taken off the streets, and though a lot of our work is not visible, this is an example of the end result of such investigations.

“Thames Valley Police does not tolerate such offending and will work tirelessly to pursue offenders.

“Information from the public is always vital and the smallest piece of information could help significantly.

“We would urge you to report it to us, either via our website, or by calling 101.

“For anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
