BERKS COUNTY closed the gap on Rotherfield United at the top of the table after their outstanding home win over Goring United Reserves.

The Swords were in clinical form as they smashed nine past their opponents without reply.

There was a hat-trick from Krissna Thakar, braces from Lucie Harvey and Kiah Owen and goals from Emma Gaywood and Kiana Proietti.

Berks are now just one point off the league leaders having played one game more.

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK climbed up to third place by earning their ninth win in 15 league games.

There were four different scorers for the Sumas as strikes from Lauren Evans, Genevieve Richards, Lucy Wood and Sophie White saw them win 4-2 at Marlow Town.

Southern Region Women’s League Cup

ASCOT UNITED squeezed past Warminster Town with a penalty shootout success following a goal-filled game.

The team’s couldn’t be separated in normal time as they shared eight goals.

Sarah Leonard netted twice and Katie Vince scored to see the Yellas into a 3-1 lead.

However, Warminster hit back to make it 3-3 before Georgia Luckhurst McCord’s header restored Ascot’s advantage.

The visitors replied once again, this time in the 94th minute to take the game to penalties.

It was Ascot who held their nerve from the spot to progress 5-4 on penalties.

WOODLEY UNITED breezed through with goals from Gemma Sims and Tina Brett seeing them safely past Oxford City.

CAVERSHAM UNITED were on the end of a thumping defeat at home to Bournemouth sports as they exited the cup.

Southern Region Women’s Division One North

EVERLEY & CALIFORNIA stay in 10th position after they lose their ninth league match in 10.

The Boars shipped four goals without reply to Kidlington which keeps them one place off the bottom of the table.

Berks & Bucks Women’s Trophy

TILEHURST PANTHERS dumped CAVERSHAM AFC out of the cup with a 3-2 away triumph.

Thea Wraight scored in the first-half for Tilehurst before a late double from Lydia Vettese sealed the Panthers’ place in the next round.

Thames Valley Women’s Division One

ASHRIDGE PARK climbed up to fifth place with an away win over Ruislip Rangers.

Lauren Broadhurst and Laura Comerford were both on the scoresheet to see Ashridge to a 2-0 win on the road which moves them onto 19 points from 11 games.

Thames Valley Women’s Division Two

S4K LADIES were defeated 2-1 away at Kingsclere which keeps them in seventh position on nine points from 12 matches.

SANDHURST WOLVES stay rooted to the bottom of the table after their 4-2 home loss to Denham United Reserves.

Thames Valley Women’s Division 3S

FINCHAMPSTEAD put on an exceptional away display as they scored seven on the road to preserve their place at the top.

A stunning performance from Lauren Smaje saw her hit a hat-trick, while goals from Lauren Chennells, Ebony Day, Matilda Richards and India Cox helped them to a 7-2 success.

After 14 games, Finch have a four point lead over closest challengers Yateley United.

YATELEY UNITED picked up their 11th win in 14 games with a 1-0 win over Ruislip Rangers 2s.

Harris scored the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute to earn Yateley three points to keep the pressure on Finch in the title race.

AFC READING were dealt their ninth defeat in 13 games with a 4-2 home loss against Harefield United.
