Finchampstead to face Burghfield in BTC Senior Cup final

Finchampstead FC and Burghfield FC will do battle this Friday at the Select Car Leasing Stadium with silverware on the line.

Both teams will be vying to win the BTC Senior Cup having also met last weekend as they contested their final match in the Thames Valley Premier League.

Burghfield came out on top with a 2-1 away victory which sees them finish ahead of Finch in the table in fourth on 39 points.

Oliver Noyes scored for Finch, but a Jack Bowyer double saw Burghfield take the victory.

Finch finished just one place and one point behind the Fielders in fifth. Both teams won 12 of their 22 league matches.

However, Finch will be out to seek their revenge on Friday when the teams meet in the cup final.

Taking place at the home of Reading FC, the match will cost £6 for adults to enter and £3 for concessions for the 7pm kick-off.

Thames Valley Premier League

READING YMCA concluded their league campaign with a draw against AFC Winkfield

Craig Fitzpatrick and Sam Tucker were on the scoresheet to help them to a 2-2 draw.

YMCA end the season on 27 points in sixth position having earned eight wins, three draws and 11 defeats.

Thames Valley Division One

READING YMCA RAPIDS lost out 1-0 to BURGHFIELD RESERVES in their last match of the campaign.

Harvey Richardson scored the only goal of the game to see Burghfield finish in sixth position on 28 points.

Burghfield finish on 31 points in fourth spot.

Thames Valley Division Two

READING CITY DEVELOPMENT were involved in a seven goal contest in their penultimate game of the campaign.

The Cityzens were beaten 4-3 at Mortimer Development which leaves them in seventh spot with one league game left to play.
