A READING network of community gardens is holding a fundraising event on Saturday, April 9.
Food4families will be running an activity afternoon at Whitley GrowAllot on Meavy Gardens, between noon and 2pm.
There will be an Easter egg hunt, pond dipping, a bug hunt, and chance to plant an edible flower salad.
The new children’s play area will be open for youngsters to try out.
It costs £5 and must be booked in advance. Kids also get a chocolate Easter egg to take home.
All profits go towards keeping Whitley GrowAllot going for the local community this year.
