A drug dealer has been jailed after he was caught at the entrance of Reading Festival.

Charlie Gosden, 22, from Farnborough, was sentenced to three years and four months in prison after admitting to numerous drug offences at court on August 6.

He was caught with a large quantity of class A and B drugs on him and messages on his phone that proved he was a dealer at last year’s Reading Festival.

A drugs dog flagged Gosden while he was entering Reading Festival at around 3pm on Wednesday, August 21 2024, which led to a search where he admitted to carrying drugs.

Police officers found him in possession of approximately 53 bags of MDMA, 1.06 grams of MDMA, 53 tablets of 2C-B, 0.39 grams of ketamine, 29.7 grams of magic mushrooms and 39.5 grams of LSD in the appearance of a chocolate bar. They also seized his mobile phone, which contained 17,219 messages consistent with supplying drugs.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Dominique Maggs said: “This sentencing highlights the hard work put in from the investigation team from the day of offence into this year to bring Charlie Gosden to justice.
