A RACEDAY event at Newbury Racecourse has announced an internationally-acclaimed rapper to headline one of its regular events this summer.

Grime artist and MC Dizzee Rascal is set to headline Party in the Paddock at the racecourse as part of its live music offerings.

He has become one of the UK’s most celebrated grime artists since he released his debut album, Boy in Da Corner, in 2003.

He won a Mercury Prize at the age of 18, working with artists such as Calvin harries, Arctic Monkeys, and Shakira.

His eighth studio album, Don’t Take it Personal, released earlier this year.

The news follows the announcement that SIGALA would be performing at the Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday, July 20.

Harry Walklin, marketing director for Newbury Racecourse, said: “The confirmation of our Party In The Paddock headliners is always eagerly anticipated and we’re pleased to finalise 2024’s line-up with the announcement of Dizzee Rascal’s visit.

Both Dizzee Rascal and Sigala will be making their Newbury Racecourse debuts this summer and we’re set for two days of great racing and two bumper evening shows.

With big discounts available for securing tickets early we encourage those wishing to join us this summer to move as fast as they can to guarantee the lowest possible price.’’

Dizzee Rascal is headlining Party in the Paddock at Newbury Racecourse on Saturday, August 17.

Tickets go on pre-sale to those registered on Wednesday, April 10, and on general sale on Friday, April 12.
