IT’S A major landmark that many take for granted, but a new walk will help unpack its past.
Walk Reading is to host an exploration of Reading Abbey and places are available.
The event, from 11am on Saturday, March 16, will explain why the 12th century abbey was built, how it was developed, and what life was like for the monks.
It will also explore why the abbey is now a ruin, and also unpack where Henry I is thought to be buried.
