An entertainment company has applied to host events at a skyscraper in Reading town centre.
The Blade, standing at 86 metres, is the tallest building in the town.
It is also called Abbey Mill House, as the site was previously used as a mill.
An entertainment company called Happy Valley Recreation has applied to conduct a range of activities on the ground and lower ground floors of the building.
The business wants to sell alcohol, show films and put on live music and other performances between 8am and 11pm each day.
Additionally, it has applied to provide late-night refreshment until 5am each day. This covers the sale and provision of food, soft drinks and hot drinks.
To host the activities, Happy Valley Recreation requires a premises licence from Reading Borough Council.
A statutory consultation into the application has been launched.
You can respond to the consultation by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk.
The deadline for responses ends on Monday, November 3.
