Combined Counties Premier North

ASCOT UNITED sit at the top of the table after they found a last minute winner from Harry Tucker against Wembley.

The Yellaman went into the break a goal behind, but they found an equaliser shortly after the break when Josh Harris and Sean McCormack combined before Brendan Matthews smashed home to level the game.

With the game hanging in the balance in stoppage time, Ascot found a moment of magic through Tucker who hit a thunderous strike from 30 yards out to find the top left hand corner.

That goal kept Ascot’s 100% start to the league campaign intact with five wins from five to put them in first.

READING CITY are up to third after they took three points at home against Edgware & Kingsbury.

The Cityzens went in front with 23 minutes on the clock when Tyler D’Cruz opened the scoring after reacting quickest to the loose ball in the box.

The points were all but sealed in the 70th minute when D’Cruz notched his second of the match by latching onto Richardson’s cross.

City also have a perfect league record with four wins from four matches.

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK settled for a point as they came from behind to peg back Windsor.

The visitors took a one goal lead into the break at Lowther Road, but an improved second-half display from the Sumas ensured that they put a point on the board.

Joao Jardim got the end of a cross to tuck the ball in.

Wokingham are in 13th position with six points from eight games.

Combined Counties Division One

WOODLEY UNITED made a remarkable comeback with 10 players to take three points at Brook House.

The home team went in front after 29 minutes from a free-kick and things got worse for Woodley when they were reduced to 10 players in the 37th minute.

However, the Kestrels came up with an inspired comeback which was kickstarted by Connor Suckling’s 58th minute leveller before Mark W Scored the winner with 15 minutes to play.

Woodley manager Jordan Blake said: “What a performance from us after going down to 10 men for over 60 minutes. If there was any doubt that my squad will give everything this season for the cause they were emphatically answered with our second half performance. Each individual gave me everything.”

The win puts Woodley in seventh with 15 points from eight matches.

BERKS COUNTY picked up a point on the road against Rising Ballers Kensington.

The Swords are in third with 17 points.

EVERSLEY & CALIFORNIA suffered a home defeat at the hands of British Airways.

The 2-0 loss leaves the Boars in ninth place on 12 points.

Eversley manager Matty Angell said: “Poor from us today (Saturday), learn a lot about a group and yourself when you don’t perform and things don’t go the way you wanted. Quick turnaround for a game on Tuesday where we will try to be better.”
