A SHOP in Reading has reopened following a major makeover and renovations.
The Co-op branch on School Road in Tilehurst has thrown open its doors once again after closing for renovations.
The new store features an in-store bakery as well as a Costa Coffee Express as well as its usual focus fresh and chilled produce, Fairtrade products, vegan and plant-based.
It also sees the return of the store’s Amazon Lockers and DPD parcel collection services, as well as the addition of a new photo booth.
Works have been carried out in the back of the shop to improve its backroom operations too.
Home delivery of groceries through Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats mean the return of freshly-picked orders.
Jay Lloyd, Co-op Store Manager, said: “We have had a great response. The whole team is delighted to have had the opportunity to invest in Tilehurst – the store has been transformed with a fresh new look and layout, and we are really enjoying welcoming our members and customers back into their Co-op now that the works have concluded.
“It is always our aim to operate at the heart of local life and we have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer to serve and support our community, conveniently.
“Co-op also has a focus on delivering value, with member price savings across a wide range of everyday essentials so that the people who own our business, our member-owners, benefit every time they shop.”
The Tilehurst branch of the Co-op opens between 7am-10pm, Monday-Saturday, and from 10am-4pm on Sundays, when there is also free customer parking.
