POLICE sent a neighbourhood team to patrol a Tilehurst street around school drop-off times.
They visited City Road on Thursday, June 20, after receiving multiple reports of dangerous and inconsiderate parking.
Officers spoke with motorists over their parking, including stopping on a single yellow line outside of the designated times. Police said this could lead to drivers being issued with a fixed penalty notice.
A spokesperson said: “These lines are placed on the road for a number of reasons but they are predominantly for the safety of the children going to school and other road users.
“Police will not tolerate either children’s safety or other road users safety being placed at risk and will shift towards issuing tickets to drivers if this continues.”
