A CHARITY is teaming up with a professional coaching network to provide free skills coaching for non-profits and people in Reading.
Connect Reading, which helps charities and businesses collaborate, has partnered with Coaching Reading to offer coaching sessions.
The initiative is part of International Coaching Week, offering a number of free 20-minute sessions to non-profits at the Reimagine the Future event on Tuesday, May 24.
Connect Reading CEO, Lorraine Briffitt, says: “Having benefited greatly from coaching myself, I want our members to be able to experience how powerful it can be.
“What better way to start than by coming along to our event and getting a free taster session?”
The charity works with more than 130 organisations, including businesses, public and educational services, and other charities, providing over 100 hours of training last year.
The event will also mark the third anniversary of Coaching Reading, which offers coaching to non-profit organisations in Reading that may otherwise have been unavailable.
Executive coach Deborah Jeffries, who will be leading the event’s coaching session, says: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming Connect Reading members to our third-anniversary event.
“It doesn’t matter if you’ve had coaching before or not– these sessions are suitable for everyone. “There’s no pressure to join in a session at all, and if you’d prefer you can simply catch up with other members and learn more about how coaching works.”
The sessions will be offered as part of the Reimagine the Future event, held at Co-Space Reading, in Broad Street Mall on Tuesday, May 24, from 5pm-6.30pm.
