CHURCH Street in Caversham has closed following reports of a road traffic collision.
A number of cars are reported to have been involved, with emergency services attending the scene.
Commuters are advised to find alternative routes, as the road is closed between Caversham Library and Prospect Street.
It means increased delays, especially along Richfield Avenue, as traffic is diverted.
Reading Buses posted to social media saying that the incident was affecting Route 27, which is currently diverting via Reading Bridge.
Pink 22, 23, and 24 are currently diverted between St Annes and Priest Hill.
Thames Valley Police posted to social media saying: “There has been a serious collision at the junction of Church Street and Prospect Street in Caversham.
“The roads are closed, so we would ask motorists to avoid the area while our officers are at the scene.”
