Reading FC fans have been informed that they will not be able to take inflatables into the ground for their away trip to Burton Albion on Saturday.

The Royals fans had been planning to celebrate ‘inflatables day’, a tradition which is held on the final away day of the campaign.

Ruben Selles’ side secured safety last weekend with a draw at Barnsley which means they cannot be caught by both Burton and Cheltenham Town.

However, Reading’s party atmosphere for Saturday’s visit to Pirelli Stadium Princess Way has been put on hold after Reading FC fan group Club 1871 have been informed by Burton Albion that they will not be letting fans into the ground with inflatables.

Burton are currently still fighting for survival and sit in 20th place heading into their final three games of the season.

They are on 43 points which puts them three points above the relegation zone with Port Vale, Cheltenham and Fleetwood all still within a chance of survival.
