BROAD STREET Mall has announced the return of Broad Street Beats, featuring live performances as part of its Pride celebrations.
The event sees the collaboration between Broad Street Mall and The Rhoom Studios in the lead up to the annual Reading Pride event.
It will welcome live music and performances as well as the mall’s mascot, Topsy,
As part of the day, Broad Street Mall continues its support of the Every Little Thing Festival, which returns this September in memory of Diva Gibson.
Founded by Diva’s mother, Sinead Gibson, the festival shines a light on mental health awareness, support services, and suicide prevention; Diva lost her life to suicide in 2020.
Sinead will join the Broad Street Beats event to help raise awareness and promote this important cause.
The event is part of an ongoing series of music showcases, and will continue throughout the year and into 2026, offering regular opportunities for visitors to come together and enjoy free entertainment.
Steven Connolly, Centre Manager at Broad Street Mall, said: “Broad Street Beats has become a powerful way to bring the community together, and we’re proud to be dedicating this summer’s event to Pride.
“It’s a celebration of inclusion, togetherness, and shared joy–we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for a brilliant day.”
Broad Street Beats returns to Broad Street Mall from 11am-3pm on Saturday, August 16.
