A CHUTNEY maker from Berkshire has expanded its festive range on the shelves of supermarket chain Aldi.

Atkins & Potts has, this year, created a pigs-in-blankets flavour festive ketchup, joining its Chipotle Chilli Jam and Fig & Bramley Apple Chutney on the shelves of the supermarket with branches in Reading, Earley and Wokingham.

It is part of Aldi’s Specially Selected range, which also includes pour-over sauces including three different flavours such as Peppercorn and Vintage Cheddar.

They are all made from its Ball Hill based, just outside Newbury.

Nicola Young, co-owner and managing director of Atkins and Potts, said: “Our partnership with Aldi keeps us busy all year round, but our delicious chutneys prove particularly popular during the festive season.

“We’re constantly innovating with exciting new flavours, products, and recipes as we grow our ranges and we look forward to introducing even more products to Aldi stores for customers to enjoy this Christmas.”

And Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK, was pleased with the partnership.

“Atkins & Potts is a much-loved supplier and we are delighted to be celebrating another year of our partnership.

“At Aldi, we champion British businesses – not just over the Christmas period, but throughout the year – and we look forward to continuing to develop and strengthen our long-term partnerships with these suppliers for years to come.”
