ORGANISERS of a community pantomime are hoping you’ll put the pieces together and come along to enjoy a fun show.
The Russell Players are presenting The Panto Puzzle early next month, aiming to bring some pre-Christmas fun to Swallowfield.
The show, written by Mary Portalska, finds out what happened when a panto is cancelled.
Dame Dolly Mixture and Cheeky Charlie persuade a caretaker to unpack the boxes that pantos are stored in … only to discover that someone has been tampering with them and three things are missing from Cinderella’s box.
A distraught Cinderella has been left a cryptic note which is the only clue to the identity of the thief and the whereabouts of the stolen goods.
With the help of a rather surly emergency fairy, and some out-of-date fairy dust Dolly and Charlie visit the other pantomimes in their quest to identify the culprit and recover the missing items.
The show is performed at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 2, Sunday, December 3, and Sunday, December 10. There is a 3pm matinee on December 2 and 10.
A charity performance, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 6, will raise funds for Parenting Special Children.
Tickets cost £12, or £5 for under 18s. They can be bought from Swallowfield Stores, or from the Russell Players’ website, russellplayers.co.uk
