Bayern Munich have reportedly named their huge asking price for former Reading FC star Michael Olise.
The Frenchman has become one of Europe’s top talents having started from humble beginnings, making his name at Reading.
Olise is now renowned as one of the brightest young talents in the world playing alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich in a star-studded Bayern Munich side.
However, Bayern will face a fight to keep hold of Olise in the coming years with some of the Premier League’s richest sides taking an interest in the 23-year-old.
Reading received £8million for Olise in 2021 after Crystal Palace after the Premier League side triggered his release clause.
Olise’s value has skyrocketed since then after first impressing for Crystal Palace before becoming one of Bayern’s top playmakers.
Bayern paid around €60m to sign Olise from Palace in the summer of 2024 and it is now believed that they would demand more than £100m to let him go.
Olise had previously been close to joining Chelsea before a dispute broke out between the west London club and Palace, which eventually led to him signing a contract extension before joining Bayern a year later.
However, it is now being widely reported that Liverpool are eyeing a move for Olise in the next year or two.
The Reds splashed out massive money in the summer transfer window with the acquisition of FLorian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £116million, £79million for Hugo Ekitike and £125million to purchase Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
Despite that huge spending, it has been reported that Liverpool would be willing to spend in excess of £100million to sign Olise, who they see as a long-term replacement for Mo Salah.
Reading would be set to benefit from any future move that Olise makes, as they did when he was purchased by Bayern from Palace, receiving a seven-figure sum which helped them to navigate through a financial crisis under previous owner Dai Yongge.
