ONE OF Reading’s night-time venues, which was set to close its doors, is instead undergoing a relaunch with a new management team next month.

Q-Club, which announced it was to close its doors for good back in July, will now start a new era… as Club Era.

The venue’s owners have announced that new management will relaunch in September, with a new 1,000 person capacity venue.

Work to “strip back” the venue is already underway, and it will sea a host of “state of the art, high- tech lighting,” as well as a custom-built DJ booth and sound system, LED screens, CO2 and confetti cannons, and pyrotechnics.

Management is also implementing a number of “immersive” features, such as a 360° photo booth, as well as a wide array of performances and events.

It will also retain the balcony overlooking the main auditorium, which will be fitted with booths, as well as the multi-room offerings.

Club Era will be open until 4am, making it one of the latest in Reading, and is bringing a new Saturday night schedule, as well as Mondays and Fridays.

The new venue is set to celebrate with a launch party, but revellers will have to sign up to its mailing list to hear details once they have been announced.

Those who sign up will also be in with a chance of winning free tickets to the event and a year’s free entry for themselves and a guest, a VIP table for 10, and a £200 bar tab on launch night.
