THEALE Green School in Reading is celebrating its students’ success as they collect their A-Level results, with staff commending pupils for their hard work and achievement.
Of just 65 pupils, two are now set to go on to Oxford University, and a significant number of students progressing to Russell Group universities.
A number are also moving on to degree level apprenticeships global employers including Deloitte and KPMG.
Notable achievements, who between them achieved eight grade-A* and three grade-A results, include Habeeb Mohammed, who will read Mathematics at the University of Oxford; Kyra Radley, who will read English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford; Charlotte Pywell, who will read Chemistry at the University of York.
The school said it wishes “every success to all of our students who go on to further education, higher level apprenticeships with national employers such as Bayer, and full time employment roles.”
Theale Green School is offering information, advice and guidance to anyone who is unsure as to what to do next after their A Levels.
Charlotte Badarello, Head of School, said, “I am delighted to see this incredible set of results, having taught many of the students over the last four years.
“This is an impressive group of young people, who have been integral to the growth of the school, who have an exciting future ahead of them.
“In schools, we often talk about resilience, and I cannot think of any other year group that have had to overcome so many obstacles.”
She continued: “I would like to congratulate the students, and of course the staff who have supported them on their journey, and as a community we look forward to celebrating in their future success.”
