MAIDEN ERLEGH’S students and staff revelled in an outstanding set of A-Level results on Thursday morning.

The schools achieved the best set of ‘normal’ results in many years, with 33% of grades being A* or A, 63% between A*-B and 85% A*-C.

With a wide range of A-Levels, vocational and EPQ qualifications achieved, Maiden Erlegh praised its students for successfully navigating their secondary school careers despite having their Year 11 cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This summer’s A-Levels were this cohort’s first public examinations.

Headteacher Paul Gibson said: ‘I would like to personally congratulate every single one of our students who opened their results this morning.

“This group of students have put in a monumental effort to overcome the challenges that they have faced since 2020 and it was incredibly pleasing to see so many smiles this morning.
