Reading FC are seeking their first win on the road this season when they make the trip to the Racecourse Ground on Saturday to play Wrexham.

Reading’s opponents have had global media attention in the past few seasons after they were purchased by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Since then, the side has won back-to-back promotions for the first ever time in the clubs history.

Former Royals player and club legend Phil Parkinson is currently manager of the Welsh side and has been there since 2021.

Parkinson played for Reading for more than a decade and made a total 361 appearances for the club between 1992-2003.

The Red Dragons have made a decent start to their campaign with an opening day win over Wycombe Wanderers being followed with an away goalless draw against promotion candidates Bolton Wanderers.

Despite having not faced each other in well over two decades, Reading have won their last five meetings.

Ruben Selles’ side have picked up four points from their opening two League One games.

Reading will be without captain Andy Yiaodm who is still recovering from a knee injury.

Predicted Reading line-up: Pereira, Craig, Bindon, Mbengue, Dorsett, Savage, Wing, Elliott, Ehibhatiomhan, Camara, Smith
