PLANS to build homes on the site of a former fire station in Tilehurst can go ahead after the council agreed terms with the developer.
Bellway Homes received planning permission in May to place 54 housing units on the Dee Road site, subject to a Section 106 legal agreement being signed.
Reading Borough Council revealed last week that this had been completed, meaning the demolition of the former fire station – which has been replaced with a new site in Theale on the A4 Bath Road.
The development is for 31 homes and 23 flats.
