AN AWARD-WINNING pop star has announced their latest run of shows, including a date in Reading.
Will Young, who hails from Wokingham, has announced his latest live tour of the UK ahead of the release of his latest album.
Light It Up, due for release in August, is Young’s ninth studio album since he rose to fame in the inaugural series of Pop Idol.
The accompanying tour sets off in Southend in September before showing at the Concert Hall in central Reading, and includes dates in York, Stamford, Wolverhampton, Leicester, and Northampton.
The tour will see stripped-back version of his hits as well as songs from the new album, alongside personal stories and conversation from the man himself.
Young said: “I’m very excited to be going to a lot of places I haven’t been. I wanted to go to smaller venues so I could properly get around the country rather than just playing the big cities.”
Will Young: Light It Up Live is showing at Reading’s Concert Hall on Thursday, September 5.
Tickets start from £40, on sale to Reading Arts Members from Wednesday, April 24, and on general sale from Friday, April 26.
