Reading FC forward Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan has vowed that the team will ‘keep fighting’ in their quest for survival in League One.

The Royals picked up three points on Good Friday against Northampton Town as Ehibhatiomhan came off the bench to score the winner.

Ruben Selles’ side then suffered a heavy loss at Bolton on Monday, but still remain six points above the relegation zone.

“We keep fighting and we know the performances we can put in,” said Ehibhatiomhan.

“We’ve seen that throughout the season so every game we go out we just try and replicate that.

“There’s no better feeling than scoring a goal so to be able to do it off the bench is good.

“He (Ruben Selles) told me to have an impact on the game and to do what I can and I’m grateful I was able to do that.”

Ehibhatiomhan also paid tribute to the fans for their continuing support.

He said: “We’ve been able to perform for them especially when we’re at home. The home record is something we have pride in and the last two remaining games we’re trying to do exactly the same and trying to get as many points as we can.

“That’s what it’s all about. They come out to watch us and support us so to be able to win the game for them, it’s only right that we celebrate with them as well.”
