THE IMPACT of wars on Reading is to be the subject for a walk taking place this Sunday.
Members of Walk Reading will be leading the hour-long event.
It covers history of the town from its founding, around 870AD.
Other periods that will be explored include the English Civil War, the Battle of Broad Street, the Napoleonic Wars, and both the first and second world wars.
The event takes place from 1pm on Saturday, August 5, and costs £9 per person.
