A CHANCE to discover the story of Reading’s Biscuit Town days is coming later this month, thanks to Pride of Reading winner Terry Dixon.
The historian is hosting a walking tour around the area that was once home to Huntley & Palmer’s biscuit factory empire.
His tale will weave in Roman times to the present day and unpack many biscuit-related stories.
The event starts from 10am at Queen Victoria’s statue in Friar Street on Saturday, December 16.
Advance booking is essential and places are limited to 20. Donations towards the costs are welcomed, with proceeds going towards Home-Start Reading and the Reading Ukrainian Community Centre.
