The Vegan Society was founded in November 1944, determined as ever to promote vegan lifestyles for the benefit of animals, people and the environment.
Right now they are recruiting Volunteer Advocates! Being an Advocate for veganism with The Vegan Society will mean communicating with people in the local community. You will form part of a local group, headed up by a local Organiser where you’ll attend events and share the benefits of a vegan lifestyle.
Activities can range from staffing a stall to giving a talk at an employee event. It could also mean writing to a local newspaper or lobbying an MP. Advocates must be confident in communicating with people from a range of backgrounds, any experience in talking with members of the public through customer/public service would be helpful!

Enrych Berkshire is a Registered Charity that provides support to people with a disability, helping them get access to leisure, social and learning activities.
Right now Enrych is seeking a sociable volunteer with an interest in gardening with availability in the afternoons. One of their members would appreciate somebody helping her in her garden. The aim is to increase the member’s social circle and enable her to enjoy her garden more.
The member in question would happily join in and do as much as she can with the gardening tasks but needs to be sitting. Also, while it is not a requirement, she is also keen on learning languages, if that’s something you can also provide advice and assistance with you would be perfect for this role.
